Rig Route Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026 · Applies to the Rig Route iPhone/iPad app and rig-route.pages.dev
The short version
- No account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- Your rig details, trips and settings stay on your device.
- To answer a request (weather, a route, place search), the app sends the needed location or address directly to the service listed below. We do not run a server that receives or stores it.
What stays on your device
Rig dimensions and weights, fuel settings, your last trip, your pre-trip checklist, saved navigation app choice, and cached map/fuel/clearance/elevation data are stored locally in the app (browser storage). Deleting the app removes them. Home-screen widgets and Live Activities read a copy of the current trip summary from storage shared only between the app and its widget.
Location
With your permission ("While Using the App"), Rig Route reads your location to show local weather and alerts and to start a route from where you are. Location is not collected in the background, not linked to you, and not used for tracking or advertising.

These providers have their own privacy policies. Fuel prices are U.S. EIA public averages bundled with the app; no price service receives your data.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, weather/towing-hazard alerts are generated on your device. No push server or device token is used.
Children
Rig Route is a travel utility not directed to children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
